The terms, in plain English.
These apply to the monthly plans RedCyfer sells. Where a plan has its own term or fee it is stated here, and it matches the pricing page.
Who you are dealing with
RedCyfer, a sole-operator technical practice in Jonesboro, Arkansas, run by Chris Woodall. Every plan is delivered and supported by that one person.
Prices
The prices here and on the pricing page are for new signups. An existing customer's price does not change, not at renewal and not at the end of a term. What you signed up at is what you pay for as long as you stay on that plan. Anything outside a plan is priced in writing before the work starts; you will never receive an invoice you have not already agreed to.
Terms and equipment
- Managed network, NetCare Business ($129 a month per site). 12-month initial term, then month to month. The first 30 days are free. Hardware is RedCyfer equipment on your subscription. If you cancel inside the term and do not return it, a one-time $249 equipment fee applies. Multi-site networks start at $249 a month and are quoted, on the same terms.
- Websites: Hosting ($49 a month), Care ($149 a month), Commerce (from $249 a month, quoted). Billed monthly per site, no term. Leave whenever you like and you receive a complete copy of the site and its database.
- Website builds. A straightforward build is $1,500, quoted in writing before work starts, or $0 up front on a 24-month Care or Commerce plan. Moving an existing site is included in setup.
- Phone answering ($149 a month; $99 a month when you also have a managed network or website plan). Month to month. 500 minutes included, then 20 cents a minute, metered per calendar month. Setup is included. Your number is yours and can be ported out.
Billing
Plans are billed in advance by card through Square, on the day you sign up and monthly thereafter (or annually where you chose a prepaid year). One-off work is invoiced when it is done, at the rate agreed in writing beforehand.
What "covered" means
On Care, under an hour of changes a month is covered, with no line items. On Hosting it is one small change a month. Larger work is quoted first. If something is genuinely down, it gets dealt with; we do not publish response-time guarantees.
Leaving
Tell us by email. Month-to-month plans stop at the end of the current billing month. Plans inside an initial term run to the end of that term unless the equipment fee above is paid instead. Either way you leave with your content, your domain, your data and a written runbook of how it was set up.
Not covered
Third-party costs stay with their vendors and in your name: domain registration, paid plugin licenses, your internet provider, Square's processing fees. We do not guarantee against lawsuits, outages caused by third parties, or results from work we advised against.
